Our Spanish language courses are organized according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (Council of Europe). The classes will be carried out entirely in Spanish from the first day for every language level.

Our courses start on any Monday, any level, except for the Teacher Training courses and the Courses for Teenagers.

Every class has a duration of 45 minutes.

The maximum number of participants per class is 8 (or 10 from June to September) and the minimum, 2. If this minimum is not reached on the first day of his / her course, the participant will be notified and other alternatives offered (e.g. a reduction of hours but one-to-one), always meeting his / her level and needs and without any extra cost.

On the first day of the course participants will take a placement test to determine their command of Spanish grammar and conversation and vocabulary. At the end of the course every participant will receive the Attendance Certificate.

This course has 2 classes of communicative grammar and 2 classes of vocabulary and conversation, with oral and writing practice, covering the linguistic skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing).

5 classes / day
With 2 classes of communicative grammar; 2 classes of vocabulary and conversation, with oral and writing practice; and 1 extra class of grammar review or communicative practice with new vocabulary and expressions. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered on the course.

>> Course 30h
6 classes / day
This course has 2 classes of communicative grammar; 2 classes of vocabulary and conversation, with oral and writing practice; and 2 extra classes of grammar review or communicative practice with new vocabulary and expressions.

>> Course 20+5h (Combined course)
4 classes in a group and 1 individual class / day
This course has 4 classes / day in a group (2 classes of communicative grammar and 2 classes of vocabulary and conversation, with oral and writing practice) plus 1 individual class per day where the contents are "tailor made" to meet the participants' learning needs and preferences. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered on the course.

>> One to one (Private lessons)
Students can choose the number of individual classes per week they wish to attend. These classes are "tailor-made" to meet the participant's learning needs and professional interests. These individual classes can be combined with all the courses we offer.

>> Part-time courses: Grammar or Conversation
2 classes / day
This course has 2 classes on communicative grammar per day, covering all the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) or 2 classes on vocabulary and conversation, with oral and writing production per day, covering the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing).

Preparatory Courses for the Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (D.E.L.E.)
5 classes / day
Levels: B1, C1 and C2.
Starting Dates: Any Monday, throughout the year.

The Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE) are official certificates, which give proof of a certain level of Spanish competence and command, and are issued by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science. There are three Levels: DELE Beginner, Intermediate and Proficiency level.
Our Spanish language school in Almuñecar offers preparatory courses for the Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (D.E.L.E.) exams. This course has 5 classes / day specifically geared towards familiarizing participants with the 5 different tests which comprise the exam: Oral Expression, Listening Comprehension, Reading Comprehension, Use of Language and Writing.

Examination charges are not included in the price of the course but we can help candidates matriculate for the exam and provide them with all the information about the dates and times of the different exams, etc. because we are a FEDELE Granada centre, organizer of DELE of Instituto Cervantes in this city.

4 classes / day
Minimum Level: B1+.
The course consists of 4 or 5 classes per day of grammar, conversation, Spanish Literature and Spanish and Latin American History and Culture.
All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered on the course.

>> Spanish + Literatur / History / Culture
2 classes / day

Additionally to an intensive course (Course 20h/25h/30h) or to a parttime course (Grammar or conversation), you can take 2 extra hours daily in groups of 2 to 5 persons in one of the following areas:

- Spanish & Latin American literature:
This Spanish course deals with the most important aspects of Spanish and Latin American Literature of every period.
- Spanish & Latin American history:
This Spanish course deals with the most important aspects of Spanish and Latin American History
- Spanish & Latin American culture:
This Spanish course deals with the most important aspects of Spanish and Latin American socio- cultural reality, covering the principle artistic movements, the most relevant historical events and the geopolitical factors that influence the present day situation.

>> Business Spanish
2 classes / day
Minimum Level: B1+.

This course is designed for students, business people, or people who are interested in international business and trade or who want to improve their command of Commercial Spanish.
All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered on the course. This course is also an ideal preparation for those students who wish to obtain an Official Certificate of Commercial Spanish (Certificado Básico de Español de los Negocios; Certificado Superior de Español de los Negocios; Diploma de Español de los Negocios), carried out by the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the University of Alcalá. Examination fees are not included in the price of the course but our school is one of the Official Examining Centres for this exam.

You can combine this course with all intensive courses.

Minimum Level: B1+.

This course is designed for those working in medicine, for those who wish to focus their professional career in this field or for people who would like to improve their command of medical Spanish.
All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered on the course. This course is also an ideal preparation for those participants who wish to obtain the Official Certificate of Medical Spanish (Certificado Básico de Español de las Ciencias de la Salud; Certificado Superior de Español de las Ciencias de la Salud), carried out by the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the University of Alcalá. Examination fees are not included in the price of the course but our school is one of the Official Examining Centres for this exam.

Minimum Level: B1+.

This course is designed for those working in Tourism, for people who would like to focus their professional career in this field or for those who wish to improve their command of "tourism-specific" Spanish.
All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered on the course. This course is also an ideal preparation for those participants who wish to obtain the Official Certificate of Spanish for Tourism (Certificado Básico de Español del Turismo; Certificado Superior de Español del Turismo), carried out by the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the University of Alcalá. Examination fees are not included in the price of the course but our school is one of the Official Examining Centres for this exam.

These courses are designed for people from 50 years old who wish to learn or improve their Spanish to be able to communicate in shops and restaurants and other "about town" situations. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered on the course but the programmed activities are particularly communicative.

Our Spanish courses in Almuñecar are structured in 6 levels in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Level A1 (Beginner to Elementary)
Users exchange brief information with questions and answers, within a clear and concrete communicative context.

Level A2 (Basic)
Users understand, communicate and express themselves in spoken and written Spanish, using a simple language in daily situations and cultural aspects.

Level B1 (Intermediate) (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language - D.E.L.E. - Beginner Level)

Level B2 (Advanced)
Users understand and express themselves in general situations where there is an exchange of information. They express personal attitudes on subjects that are familiar for them or which they are interested in and they speak about their experiences too.

Level C1 (Superior) (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language - D.E.L.E. - Intermediate Level)
Users understand and express themselves in different situations with complex linguistic structures - still controlled -, with fluency and in a spontaneous way.

Level C2 (Proficiency) (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language - D.E.L.E. - Proficiency Level)
Users express themselves in an suitable form in any situation, controlling linguistic and cultural elements of a native speaker and discerning meaning nuances.
